Welcome to St Peter's Swimming Club
St Peter's Swimming Club is based at St Peter's, Cambridge. We are a family swim club for young learners through to National Champions taking on the world's best.
At St Peter’s Swimming Club our goal is for swimmers to progress through our programme with the objective of achieving qualification and selection for major open New Zealand swimming teams such as the Pan Pacific Championships, World Championships, Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games.
St Peter's Swimming Club Facilities
St Peter’s Swimming Club is very fortunate to be based on the St Peter’s Cambridge School grounds.
Pool Space
The St Peter’s pool is a 10 lane, 25 metre, outdoor pool which is heated for year-round use.
Over the summer months senior swimmers have training sessions in the 50 metre pool at the Perry
Pool, Cambridge to prepare for national long course meets in April.
Land Based Training
Senior swimmers attend gym sessions in the St Peter’s School Gym with a specialist team.
Club House
St Peter’s Swimming Club has the Club House available for use, which is situated at the end of the
indoor Learn to Swim pool. The Club House has full kitchen facilities and provides a space to hold meetings, for swimmers to study before and after training, and a warm space for parents and siblings while swimmers train.

We have squad programmes that cater for junior swimmers through to performance swimmers
Our main focus is on technique, skill perfection and long term athlete development. The squad programmes cater for junior swimmers through to performance swimmers who have shown the potential and desire to achieve at a high level.

Open Water Racing
Alongside our competitive pool programme we also have a strong open water swim team. Our swimmers race regularly in events at lakes and beaches around the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. We also take a large team of all levels to the NZ Open Water Championships and Epic Swim each year at Lake Taupo.
St Peter’s Swimming Club has partnered with Arena NZ as our supplier of uniforms and pool equipment.
Volunteers and Parent Help
St Peter's Swimming Club require volunteers and parent helap at each swim meet during the season include Timekeepers and Team Managers.
